LIFT seeks to bolster and advance the movement for workers’ rights, good jobs, and a fair economy. A project of the Solidago Foundation, LIFT is a first-of-its-kind partnership between labor unions, foundations, non-union worker centers, and academia. Together, with LIFT, these entities work to create the strategic collaborations and innovative solutions necessary to build a 21st Century Labor Movement. LIFT supports projects that are leading the fight for worker justice and developing innovative and collaborative strategies for worker centers and unions. The Fund helps to identify, and then pool, scarce resources toward investing in organizing and strategies that broaden community-labor alliances. Since 2012, the Fund has awarded more than $1.5 million in grants to 38 worker center union collaborative projects.
